    Adult Learn to Row Program

All motivated individuals are welcome to come out and learn the art of rowing.  No pervious experience is necessary.

The Learn to Row program will consist of 4 one on one lessons or group practices depending on the number of participants

Session dates will be determined based on interest and participant's schedules.  Preferrably we will meet on Saturday mornings but can be flexible.

Please print the Learn to Row registration forms located in the link to the right.  Please email the forms to  tillsonburgrowingclub@gmail.com so we can arrange for your sessions.  Payment can be made by cash or cheque on your session start date.

Once you have completed your session, you will then have the opportunity to continue rowing with the other adult members either at a recreational or competitive level for the remainder of the season.  Participation in indoor winter training on ergometers and use of the Health Club at the Community Centre are also included in a full annual membership.

    Student Rowing Program

No previous rowing experience required.  Rowing is a great sport that provides a complete body workout and builds an excellent sense of team sportsmanship as well as providing discipline to work hard both individually and as a team.

Bantams:  Elementary students who are currently in Grade 7 (or will be entering Grade 7 in the fall).

High School:  Any student currently enrolled full time in high school

    Programs

    Recreational vs Competitive:

All students are encouraged to row at a competitive level, meaning they will attend regattas throughout the rowing season (See Regattas and Events).

The high school competitive season is in May-June, during which time the students compete for their high school.  For the remainder of the rowing season, students compete as members of the Tillsonburg Rowing Club.

If students wish to row strictly at a recreational level, this will be accommodated at the regularly scheduled practice times.

    Practice times:

Practices are generally held 3-4 evenings a week.  Morning practices may occur for Competitive rowers during the week and on Saturdays.

Practices are held year-round.  Rowing on the water generally takes place from April – November, while winter training takes place on indoor rowing machines from November- March.
